Tornadoes ~~

Two nights ago tornadoes went through our area. Fortunately for us, we just had rain -- but about 30 miles from here there were tornadoes. My dear friend since grade school, Patti, is a member of the Illinois/Wisconsin Search and Rescue Unit. They were called into action to check demolished buildings for any possible victims. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the area she was called to. Can you believe this remarkable lady is 71 years old and the younger police and other searchers have a hard time keeping up with her and her Bloodhound, Josie WalesThis is my friend with her dogs. Sadly, Emma Rose (left) has gone on to the Rainbow Bridge, but Josie Wales and Patti are still on call 24/7/365.

WOW! Glad you came through it OK. We had tornadoes in the summer, where I grew up in Ohio, but not in WINTER!
Your friend looks so happy, and that Joy is what keeps any of us young!

We lived in California for a while and went through a few earthquakes -- but tornadoes scare me a lot more.
