Dead Tree & Chickadee

If you click HERE you will get an enlarged view.

We were about to cut down our poor dead magnolia tree -- then, standing at my kitchen sink I saw activity -- a pair of Chickadees are nesting in the hole.  What a delight.  They flit in and out so fast -- but I did catch one of them entering the hole. If you look close at the photo you will see him.

so the tree stays up through nesting season?

we're finally seeing some sustained sun...now if it would just warm up, I could quit complaining!

God has a way of bringing to life something that is dead inside!
How beautiful is that!

Yep, the tree stays -- the Chickadees are so delightful to watch flitting in and out of their home.

I am so glad you caught it in time, and it will provide you with many more years of chickadee joy- all through the seasons!
