Here is a photo of the Marudai my husband made for me. It was a stool used at my sewing machine and is just the perfect height for a Marudai (round stand). All he had to do was drill a hole in the center. I can't wait to give it a trial run.
So I looked at that flicker site with this equipment on it and you ladies all working on something .. what does it look like when it is done? What are you making with this stool? Hmmmm ...
Looks like you're aLL set Jackie.. Is this a thing used for braiding? Let's see an example.... Your class looked very intense... Was it fun??? ((((hugs)))) Maggie
I hope tonight to get set up and begin playing with my Maruadi -- thanks for all your interest and as soon as I have something to show it will be here.
Happy you all enjoyed my posts regarding Kumihimo and the Marudai --- I just haven't had much time to myself the last couple weeks -- but as soon as I do you can bet I will be trying this out in ernest.
As you can see from today's post, March 9, 2008, my little 5 year old grandson was able to do it quite easily -- three easy steps and with the "slots" in the foam, it held the yarn quite well for him and he had a lot of fun. At 5 years old boys still like to do what Gram does --- ♡

What a good idea for a madurai! There are stools at any store that are very affordable. Thank you!
Oh - this looks like so much fun Jackie! And the class looked so much fun too. Look forward to seeing what you make.
Adore the new look of your blog too. Love that beaded doll!
