Here are 3 more Dotee's -- these are little "I'm thinking of you" gifts. The above little Dotee Doll has arrived at her new home and has been christened Beaujolais -- what a fitting name for a little doll with grape design body, beaded grapes and leaves for hair -- and for a "dangle" what else?? A corkscrew of course. I know she will love living in Southern California.
This little Dotee Doll is now happily living in a new home. She is as yet unnamed -- but looks like she was lovingly received.

Love the Dottees! The gold and copper is great, love the grapes, that is something my DD would like and the green sewing one is adorable...Now the dog, looks like mine! Sam is a mixes breed Black lab but that pic could pass for Sam!
thanks for sharing!

These are adorable!! Somehow I need to add one to my collection... :D
I love the bottom one best! How did they get their name- Dotee? My mom's nickname since a little girl was 'Dottie', her name was Laurine- go figure!

Lori -- glad you enjoyed the new Dotee's -- and yes, I remember your Sam -- aren't these dogs just the greatest?
OK, LB, Happy New Year -- a little Dotee will be off to you by 2008 -- :-)
So glad you like them Aryd'ell.
They got their name from Dot Christian from Australia, the designer of the little doll, and she calls them Dotee Dolls (pronounced Dottie). They truly are such fun to make and give -- I wrote a little poem that goes out with the dolls (not the ones from the FAT exchange -- didn't have it written then LOL) The last line of the poem is easily changed to go along with whoever you are sending the doll to. This has been one of the most fun and rewarding things I have made.
Thanks again to Dot for so willingly sharing her design with us all.
Jackie I love your Dotees. The little corkscrew is so sweet.. never saw one before... Where did you get it??
Anyway...the Dotees were a fun project, I gotta do some more too.
Have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS
((((hugs))))
Maggie
Thanks, Maggie -- these have been just the most fun to do.
I have had several people ask me about the corkscrew charm -- I got them at a little Ben Franklin store in Sycamore, IL. Next time I get there I will try to get a bunch so I can send them out to those of you who would like them. (Providing they still have them)
You know how much I love your Dotee dolls Jackie! You make them with such love. Am sure they were very lovingly received too.
Much love to you at Christmas!
Dot xx
these are so cute! love 'em....
Thanks, Aurora -- Dot really started something special when she not only designed but shared her design for the Dotee doll with us all. It is a delightful little doll -- and spreads love wherever it goes.
Her name is Thimble-ina!
