Biscornu is "irregularly sided". For this instance, it is a pin cushion or ornament. If you Google the word biscornu, you will find many, many, references. Grab a drink before you start -- there is much to look at.
The little stork scissors are just under 2 inches long each. This should work up cute -- will be glad when I get to put it together -- I too am anxious to see the finished product.
