Yep, the snow came.....

Well, we did receive 4-5 inches of snow -- the first snow is always so pretty -- OK, we have our snow, next Christmas and then get on to spring.  :-)

I AM beading -- but with the colder weather, am thoroughly enjoying knitting socks - I just learned how to do it and just keep knitting and knitting LOL.  Here is my newest sock along with the start of it's mate -- should soon have this green pair to keep my feet warm.

Hi Jackie! You inspired me to try my hand at knitting socks. I had my first (of 3) classes last night. Not too much progress, but I really love it. I'm not a very 'smart' knitter (don't really understand how it works, what to do when I make a mistake, etc.), so I'm hoping to be able to master this pattern. Yours are just beautiful!! Lucky you for the snow - we've only had a dusting here and there and now it is all gone and it's very very drab :(

Hope the snow doesn't get in the way of your birthday dinner!

Lynn, it is so wonderful to know that my socks inspired you to give sock knitting a try. I hope you will continue with it --I still can't believe how much I am enjoying this :-) And, I thank you for your sweet note.

BB - we were able to get out for dinner -- I love to eat out -- thanks for your email and birthday greetings :-)

Carol, thanks -- as I said, I am just having way too much fun with the socks :-) We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow -- how about you?
