Orange Julia's beginnings ....

I did a little beading on the "orange challenge" beaded doll. Want some practice before I do any stitching on the Summer Dayz beaded doll RR. Here's Orange Julia's start -- just a bit of hair -- but it's a start and I like the hair so far.

I love seeing your work space, and I can't wait to see how your little orange doll turns out. Keep up the great work:)

Thanks for the encouraging words, LB.
I too love seeing others workspace and also the pallets -- they are so pretty ;-)

This workspace (tray) fits comfortably on my lap. I can sit in my favorite chair with my little footstool and big floor stand Ott light -- it works great for me because the work is closer than on a regular table -- when I took a class my biggest problem was that the work was too far from my tired old eyes. Next class I take my tray and footstool with me -- bet it will be a ton easier -- .

Lovely doll, I have been keeping an eye on your work. My kids start school tomorrow Perhaps I can begin a doll this fall for my children. It might be a wonderful keepsake. I was thinking from scraps (I sew for them)of the clothing from fall clothes.

Thank you for the surprise, Donetta. You are far too kind,

Yes, do make dolls for your children -- and scraps of their (or your) clothing make lovely momentos. Dolls are always loved.
