Days gone by ... Rug Hooking ...

I don't know how I got on "By-gone Days Road" today --- oh, yes, I do remember. I was looking at Maggie's BLOG and saw a link to rug hooking -- that reminded me of all the fun I had hooking rugs a few years ago -- and of all the wonderful Hooking Friends I made and still have. I wish there were more hours to a day -- don't we all? -- there are so many things I would still like to be working on -- may just have to pick up the 2-3 UFO rugs and work on them again. Most of the hooked items I made were given away and I don't have photos -- or at least digital photos -- but here are a couple photos that I do have --

My Grandmother was a Hooker, she designed her own patterns and used only recycled wool from old suits and shirts. This was in the 60's and 70's before it became vogue. Thanks for the wonderful memories.....

These are GREAT pieces. I never remember seeing the pumpkin one in person, but have always loved the sheep one - I watched you make it. So cool you dyed the wool .. and all .. you are most creative! Very proud of you!
