"I am always doing what I cannot do............"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I am always doing what I cannot do in
order to learn how to do it..."
In keeping with the above quote,
today I went shopping --
take a look at the photo below
for all the goodies I came home with.
Yep, my new "betweener" project will be to learn to knit socks.
Between my beading projects.
Wish me luck :-)
Thank you both -- I'm going to need a LOT of luck -- but I will have fun learning. Have one cuff about 3 inches in length so far. Took me forever (and I'm still adjusting) to figure out how to use 4 needles. My fear is I'll get it just about done and loose my stitches from one of the needles. If you hear someone crying loud and long you will know who it is LOL.
There are ways to knit in the round with a circular needle but really, once you get used to the four needles (I use three on the sock and one to knit with making one needle for the heel sts and two for the instep) it will seem so easy. Don't give up, making socks is fun as you can play with designs and different yarns without having a huge project in front of you.
Good luck!!
So this is what you're up to?!?!?
I love kniting socks.. especially with the new wool all colors. LOL
Once you feel comfy about it you will be hooked!! It's a nice carry along project too.
I was worried about you since i hadn't heard from you for awhile...Hope you and DH are just fine...
Thinking of you..
