Remembering 9/11

In the days following 9/11/01 I created my 9/11 Angel. Tattered, tear stained and dirty -- Angel brought wings to those in need that day. She has hung in my sewing room ever since and each day I see her and feel that terrible pain -- and remember to live each day to the fullest and to remember to say I love you as often as possible -- to give extra hugs and to do all the things we sometimes think we can wait until later to do or say.

She (the angel) and you are so very dear. Thanks for remembering.

I remember the day ofter, Sept. 12, it is our daughter's birthday. I went to Chicago to take her out to lunch and we ate at the lovely little restaurant in Lincoln Park. The area there is so rural feeling, the trees, flowers, birds, lagoon, etc. -- until you look up and see all the sky scrapers -- that day it was so eerie -- jet planes kept going over (not commercial jets) -- it almost made a person stop breathing -- it was so beautiful and so frightening at the same time. If I locate the photos I will post them on the blog. Days I'll never forget.
