July 4, 2006 ~ Two more scissor fobs & Parrot

Amazing how many friends have birthdays in July and August.
And then there is the special occasion gift -- so, just when I
thought I was through with fobs for a while -- surprise -- needed
two more. I was lucky and found some wonderful little scissors on
eBay and purchased many pair -- so the fobs also have these great
little scissors attached.
Here they are.

I also made an attempt at beading a parrot. This is for a round robin block. I have a LONG way to go with this -- but it was fun.

They're wonderful. Do you use patterns for the beading or do your own thing?

Thank you, Debbie. I don't have a pattern, just make them up. They are fun and quick to do. Appreciate your kind words.

I love the beading your have hangind down from your scissors... I would love to have some for my own scissors... great way to identify your items in classes... Am wondering if you would mind if I made me some, using your ideas? If you say no, I totally understand!

Be my guest, Sammy -- I'm honored that you want to use some of my ideas. And yes, it really does help to identify your scissors, etc. in classes -- I also have a small beaded dangly on my camera because I have found there are more than one just like mine that we take to classes, etc. Another fun place for beaded danglies are cell phones --- and that really helps, DD and I have identical phones and on more than one occasion I have picked up hers instead of mine. Now we both have our own 'identifying' beadies on the phones,
